SC Villa and Iganga Town Council officials clashed over gate collections at the Ssaza ground over the weekend after a Nile Special Super League second round game.

Iganga’s was paying back what Villa did to them in the first round when the league champions fundraised in Mandela Stadium and failed to give them their gate shares.A war of words ensued outside the stadium between Iganga chairman Hajji Musa Muwayi and Villa secretary Edward Luyimbazi Mugalu. “We have to withhold your money for what you did to us in Kampala,” Muwayi was overheard telling Mugalu. “You can go report to the Police.”The game itself grossed sh 4m and each club was supposed to share sh 1.3m. The first round game grossed sh7m which Villa retained.Ends
