LUWEERO chairman Haji Abdul Nadduli on Tuesday hosted a couple who recently gave birth to quadruplets to congratulate them. He also rewarded them with sh100,000 and a cow, reports Frederick Kiwanuka.
A beaming Nadduli thanked the couple for having answered his call to produce many children. He also exempted the father from paying Graduated Tax for two years.
Godfrey Kayizzi and Josephine Namwanje, residents of Kakuuto village near Luweero town, produced the quadruplets a month ago. All the four babies are male.
“By giving you this assistance, I want the world to know that I do not only encourage people to produce many children, but I also want them to know that Luweero is capable of looking after our children,” the grey-haired Nadduli said.
Nadduli, an outspoken advocate for big families, said the couple had pleased him by answering his call to produce many children. He encouraged other residents to follow the example, saying Luweero still had a lot of unutilised land. End
