KAMPALA - About 3,000 boda-boda cyclists have registered with the Police in the one-month exercise to have them re-tested for riding. Kampala traffic chief Gabriel Tibayungwa on Friday described the exercise as a success. He said the exercise would go on despite the October 15 deadline which expired several days ago.

MAKERERE - Makerere University has admitted 120 students under the Decentralised Service Delivery Undergraduate scholarship for the local government staff. The scholarship programme that started recently, benefits diploma students who are currently working in local government institutions. The admission list has students admitted for various courses. They were selected local government institutions.

KAMPALA — MP Ken Lukyamuzi’s plan to demostrate against KCC’s decision to award the St Balikuddemde Market tender to Hassan Basajjabalaba, has been shuuned by traders. Addressing the traders on Thursday, the Rubaga South MP said he would lead a demonstration if KCC awarded the tender to run the market to the city tycoon.
