THE ARMY has put up reward money for information leading to the capture or killing of Joseph Kony and 39 top LRA commanders.

The police have often offered reward money to help catch criminals; so it is a good idea for the army to take up.
Assuming that Kony and 39 commanders are all captured, the total cost will be around 800 million shillings. This would be cheap at the price and cost-effective.
The Sh20m reward will hopefully bring results in catching the local LRA commanders but will it be enough to net Kony himself? Kony is feared by everyone in the LRA and has executed even top commanders on the slightest suspicion of treachery.
The reward for the capture or killing of Kony needs to be made still higher. It should be Sh100m for Kony himself.
