The annual event moves to the second round with matches at Nakasero PS. Action started last weekend. 18 men, the country's top names, entered the competition that could produce a new set of rankings. Baguma, the 12th seed, is on top with 12 points, two more than George Oloya, James Kiyimba is third at eight points. Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA) official Paul Mutambuze, is in charge of the event that also drew the seven top lady players. The women will begin their campaign this weekend. But the top seed Mary Musoke is out of the event due to domestic problems. Second seed Mildred Senyondo, the number three Diana Namisango and fourth seed Monica Kisakye will lead the group. The tournament also has a series of other activities. The top 16 men: J. Omoding, P. Mutambuze, J. Kiyimba, G. Oloya, M. Olweny, V. Mawanda, F. Mulinda, I. Sentongo, B. Kasoma, A. Gitta, E. Baguma, E. Zizinga, M. Matsyetsye, D. Kisule, R. Jabo, R. Andira and P. Mugisha. The top seven women: M. Musoke, M. Senyondo, D. Namisango, M. Kisakye, S. Atai, F. Chemisto, R. Namubiru and L.
