THE Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) is to honour the Commonwealth Day with a festivity match this weekend against a combined team from other Commonwealth member countries.
John Nagenda, former national captain and also Senior Presidential Advisor on Mass Media will lead the UCA side that will be spurred by experienced Edward Sempebwa, William Kamanyi and Steven Luswata.
Others on the team include national captains Henry Okecho, John Lubia and cricketer-of-the-year Benjamin Musoke.
Frank Nsubuga, Joel Olweny, and Raymond Otim will also take on the field alongside their idols.
Tom Tikolo, the International Cricket Council (ICC) development officer for East Africa is also expected to feature.
The British High Commission sponsored event will feature participants from Kenya, Canada, South Africa, India, Tanzania, and other Commonwealth nations.
Former chairman Schools Development Programme Arthur De Mello confirmed British High Commissioner Tom Phillips is to captain the side.
