By Patrick Oyee THE Lira LC5 chairman, James Obua-Otoa, has sacked his deputy, Dr. Charles Odwee-Arago, for allegedly being incompetent. In a March 21, letter, Obua-Otoa said he had sacked his deputy in the interest of the government and the people of Lira. "It has become necessary in the interest of the government and the people of Lira district that you be relieved of the position of the vice-chairman of Lira district. This takes immediate effect," the letter read. He asked Odwee to hand over the office to him until a vice-chairperson was appointed by the council. Sources said a rift grew between Obua-Otoa and Odwee during the presidential elections. Obua-Otoa supported Aggrey Awori but Odwee campaigned for Besigye. Ends
