LC5 Man On Theft Charge

IGANGA - The LC5 councillor for Nambale sub-county, Ezra Gabula, was yesterday charged with theft and obtaining money by false pretence. Gabula allegedly sold a contract to complete a classroom block at Irenzi Primary School to George Muwandike at sh1.5m in January. When Muwandike asked the education office for a letter allowing him to start work, he was told that the contract had been given out. Gabula denied the charges before the Iganga Chief Magistrate. Ends
