By Vision Reporter A DELEGATION of Congolese security officials last week visited Bundibugyo district to persuade the remaining Hema refugees to return to their homeland. A district Movement committee official told The New Vision on condition of anonymity that the delegation was led by Col. Edison Muzora, the UPDF section commander in DR Congo's Bunya province. Bundibugyo Resident District Commissioner Charles Ndiwa Chemasuet confirmed the visit but said he did not have details. He said they visited mainly the refugees camped in Rwebisengo sub-county. "It is true those people came and talked to their people to persuade them to go back to their homes, but they did not inform us in advance," he said. "They assured them that the security is now assured and there are detaches in that part of Congo,' Chemasuet added. He eccused the Congolese of failing to observe protocol. Ends
