THE Government has been asked to raise funds for Nyabyeya Forestry College in Budongo forest reserve to train students in natural resource management.

By Gerald Tenywa THE Government has been asked to raise funds for Nyabyeya Forestry College in Budongo forest reserve to train students in natural resource management. The college principal, Wilson Kasolo, made the appeal recently during the Nyabyeya open day to exhibit the diploma and certificate courses offered at the college. Kasolo said the Norwegian aid agency, (NORAD) provided sh230m for this academic year but it was not enough for the college to meet its obligations. He said the money was channeled through Makerere University Faculty of Forestry and Nature Conservation. Kasolo said the faculty dean, Dr. John Kaboggoza, had signed an agreement with NORAD to fund Nyabyeya for the next five years. The German ambassador Klaus Holderbaum attended. Ends
