It's not the same hype as it has always been at Namugongo towards the celebrations of the Uganda Martyr's day every June 3.

The celebrations have always been characterised with crowds struggling for breathing space as they enter the gates of Namugongo, too much traffic Jams along the roads, parking lots full, streets decorated with vendors and pilgrims walking on foot, and Music booming in the clubs.

This is the true definition of Namugongo during the pre-martyr's day.

However, this isn't the case if one passes by Namugongo today, as we look forward to the celebrations which will be an invite-only, as the mammoth crowds usually seen at the Catholic and Anglican shrines every Martyrs Day celebrations won't be there this year.
