<b>Acholi war body chief resigns</b> <br>The vice-chairman of Acholi War Debt Claimants’ Association, Prof. Okot-Bwongamoi, has resigned, citing anomalies within the association’s executive committee.

The vice-chairman of Acholi War Debt Claimants’ Association, Prof. Okot-Bwongamoi, has resigned, citing anomalies within the association’s executive committee. In his resignation letter of May 24 to the association chairman, Bwongamoi said the executive had allegedly labelled him as an obstacle towards its smooth running.

Kitgum pwds get start up tools
A total of 80 persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the three districts of Acholi sub-region, who recently completed training in various skills, have received tools to boost their businesses. Four beneficiaries from Namokora and Amida sub-counties in Kitgum district last Thursday received sewing machines, threads and leather worth over sh10m. They were part of the 40 PWDs in Kitgum who studied six-month courses in leather works at Kitgum Leather Works and Skills Training Centre.
