And so it came to pass than on Monday afternoon, our man in the Big Brother Amplified, Ernest Wasake, was one of the housemates nominated for possible eviction. It really came as no surprise, what with all the hate that was coming both from the house and outside it. And can you believe it some of it came from Uganda as well? Hard to explain, but that is how we be.
Back to the Tails house, the second of the two houses in this year’s BBA, and the Tailsmates were nominating for the second time. There being two houses, each one takes its turn to have nominations and evictions. Last week it was the Heads house, where our Sharon O beat all odds and comfortably beat off being evicted.
Will the same come true for Ernest? We really don’t know, because while Sharon is a really pretty girl, what has Ernest got going for him? He is not the ‘hunkest’ of the guys in the house, and most of the Tailsmates are irritated by what they call his ‘know all’ attitude.
Or could it be that him and Bhoke from Tanzania (also up for eviction) actually have the only true budding relationship in the house? Remember when all the girls (except Bhoke, of course) ganged up in the bedroom and started a spirited round of ‘Ernest-bashing?’
The only steamy session in the house so far came when Ernest and Bhoke were in the Jacuzzi together, and that video has got the largest number of viewers on the Big Brother website. We will not count the one in which fat Nic (did somebody say he needs a bra?) and Kim had a bath together last Sunday.
And so all that hating came to a head on Monday, with all the housemates either nominating Ernest, or the South African psycho cry-baby, Luclay. At the end of the day, Ernest had six nominations to Luclay’s five. Kenya’s Nic and Ghana’s Alex did not receive any nominations.
And then the Head of House, that wall flower from Ethiopia, Danny, did his worst saved Luclay ‘the psycho’ and replaced him with Miss ‘P-with-a-big-behind’ from Botswana.
So the stage is set for the second eviction from the Tailshouse. Learning from past evictions, housemates have several times shared the same number of country votes, and in the end it was the actual number of votes, read as a percentage, that has decided who goes home and who stays.
Twice Ghana’s Confidence has received only her country’s vote, but because hundreds of thousands of Ghanaians voted for her, she survived to be nominated for another week.
It is a tight race this week, with only three housemate sup for eviction. Ernest will, of course, get Uganda’s vote, as Bhoke and Miss P will get Tanzanian and Botswana votes. We really can’t tell which way the other African countries will go, but if we want our boy to stay, we have to vote, hundreds of times.
Don’t let the haters win, vote by sending an SMS to 7117, all networks. And note that the rates have been reduced from sh1,000 per SMS to only sh200. You can also go to www.bigbrother.dstv.com and vote for free. You can vote every hour as many times as you want. So, go on, vote to keep our boy in the house.
