Seven injured in collapsed building

SEVEN people in including children were rushed to different hospitals following a house that came down on them in Bukoto, a Kampala suburb this evening.

SEVEN people were on Monday evening injured when a commercial building in Bukoto, a city suburb, collapsed.

The victims, who were in critical condition, were rushed to hospitals.


Kiira Road district Police commander, James Ruhweza, attributed the incident to poor workmanship.

He identified the victims as; Martin Aliu and three of his children; Elijah Tendo,(4years), his two year sibling Dina Sanyu and Martina Aliu.

Sanyu is a pupil of Ntinda care while Martina goes to Green Hill Academy. The victims were in the ill-fated incomplete building to buy bread at a Hot Loaf shop.
