Kenya National team Harambee stars will travel by road to Kampala from Mumias, the Kenya FA has communicated to the Uganda FA. The team is set to arrive in Uganda on September 7 through Malaba border.

The Harambee stars, who will be playing against Uganda Cranes on October 8, have communicated that they will arrive at the border in early morning and are expected to be in Kampala in the afternoon, just in time for their evening training at Namboole.

“The new communication means that we drop plans of booking Wankulukuku stadium for their Thursday training. We are going to receive them from the border post of Malaba and are already contacting the Uganda Police for help in terms of security. We want to make sure that their journey in Uganda is free from any event,” said Rogers Mulindwa, the head of communication at FUFA.

Mulindwa said that all the letters to the professionals have been sent, and FUFA had appealed to their clubs to release them early enough, so that they are able to arrive in time and start training with the team.

For the training camps starts September 28, most of the professional players are expected to join camp after October 2.
