Woman kills pregnant co-wife

A seven-month pregnant woman in Kaliro district has been killed by her co-wife after hitting her on the head with a wooden stool. 

The incident took place at Busooba- Kanankamba III village in Namugongo sub-county, Kaliro district on Friday.

John Kunya, the area LC1 chairperson confirmed the 10:00 pm murder where a one, Amina hit Doreen Nditana with a stool on the head.

Kunya said the two were married to Yisa Isabirye who had rented them separate rooms on Richard Musoga's houses.

He said Amina, 20, had a hearing and talking impairment and it was not clear what caused a misunderstanding between the co-wives.

He said the deceased, Nditana, 30, was the first wife.

The Police retrieved her body as Isabirye and Amina had fled their home.

Kunya appealed to the police to hunt the suspect so that she is brought to book.
