KAMPALA - KCCA will miss six of their key players in the Lugogo derby when they lock horns with Proline this evening in the StarTimes Uganda Premier league.

Interestingly, head coach Mike Mutebi is unmoved by the injury and suspension crisis ahead of this crucial tie. He is confident that the available players will fully fit in the shoes of the absentees.

"It is true the number of absentees is alarming but on my side, I am not under any pressure," said the tactician.

"KCCA is not centered on individual players. The available ones will fill the gaps and I expect a good result because I know that whoever I field on the pitch and follows my instructions has to deliver."

First-choice goalkeeper Charles Lukwago, Muzamir Mutyaba, Mike Mutyaba, Gift Ali, Musa Ramathan and John Revita are the key absentees.

Most of them will miss because of injuries while others are serving suspensions due to accumulated yellow cards.

KCCA are on 49 points and victory will move them to 52 points to push them one point behind leaders Vipers.

Mutebi has reaffirmed that his side will battle for the 18 remaining points from the six games left to climax the league.

With this chance at stake, the KCCA coach talked of how they cannot afford to slip against Proline and promised to do everything possible to get the three points.

"It is a big chance for us to close the gap. Like I said previously, the title has not yet slipped off our hands despite trailing Vipers. So on Tuesday we are going to fight for the three points," he vowed in the buildup to the game.

KCCA beat Police 1-0 at Lugogo in their last game.

Their opposition today, Proline, are desperately in need of three points if they are to keep their chances of surving relegation alive.

Lying at the foot of the table on 21 points, Proline could come out of the relegation zone with a win of a goal margin of more than six goals.

The last time out, they beat Tooro United 2-1 and will hope to build on that result.

Bright Anukani is expected to dictate Proline's attacking force, supported by Hakim Kiwanuka on the left and Rodgers Mato on the right.

Diego Hamis Kizza who is on a good scoring form and veteran Brian Umony are expected to start upfront as forwards.

The first round meeting between Proline and KCCA ended with Kasasiro Boys coming out as 4-1 victors.

Elsewhere, at FUFA Technical Centre in Jinja, Busoga United, who are fifth, will square off with ninth-placed Kyetume.

Busoga have been a good form lately and so have Kyetume since Alex Isabirye Musongola took over from Jackson Mayanja at the start of this year.

Both sides are coming into today's game on the back wins against Wakiso Giants (Busoga) and Onduparaka (Kyetume).
