Beach soccer: Isabet go top of table

MUKONO - Isabet Beach Soccer Club moved to the top of the National Beach Soccer League table following their 3-2 victory over Wolves and a 4-4 draw against Mutoola on Sunday.

The games were played at Mutoola Beach Resort in Ntenjeru, Mukono district.

Somoka Rocha, Rica Byaruhanga, Derrick Tekkwo were some of the scorers for Isabet as they moved up to 23 points, one above defending champions St. Lawrence, who defeated Kiringente.

Elsewhere, three-time champions MUBS went down 3-6 to Buganda while Entebbe Sharks lost 2-6 KIU.

The best players at end of this season will have a chance to be selected for the national team that will compete in the 2020 AFCON Beach Soccer Championship in December. Uganda is the host nation.

This season the league is being played in three different venues: Mutoola Resort Beach, Lido Beach and Spenah Beach.
