With honey involved, the setup of the venue had to reflect the experience and look of a beehive. The organizers perfectly got this right, especially with the décor.
Ugandans will always turn up for anything that has a lot to do with partying. And when it comes to parties with free drinks, the numbers will always leave organizers overwhelmed. This brief description is exactly what was seen at the launch of Bond 7’s new product, Bond 7 honey at Legends bar in Lugogo.
With honey involved, the setup of the venue had to reflect the experience and look of a beehive. The organizers perfectly got this right, especially with the décor. The mixologists, dressed in beekeeping attires, also added color and meaning to the event.
The invite-only event was taken over by a number of indoor games that had many concentrates on winning. Upon entry, guests were given playing cards. Several others got preoccupied with table tennis, pool soccer, and other games. This was a form of entertainment on its own right, but the real party was yet to start.
Fem Deejay opened the flow with mixes mainly from South African house music that resonated with most of the urban music fans in the house. He got many sweating. However, more fun was still yet to come.
The party was interrupted briefly when Uganda Breweries Managing Director, Alvin Mbugua, stepped on stage to launch the new Bond 7 honey product. The crowd went loud in screams as they excitedly welcomed the new product.
After the launch, it was time to dive back into the party. The crowd-pulling duo, DJ Slick Stuart and Roja, came with energy to offer the crowd a party of their lives. With retro Ugandan music fused with Jamaican reggae music, the crowd was not ready to let go of the duo on the turntables.
Ykee Benda, who also has a song with Slick Stuart and Roja, hit the crowd by surprise. He entertained his fans with all his hit songs from the past and current songs. The fully packed hive was left electrified.
