Veteran striker Robert Sentongo inspired Kyetume as they earned promotion to the Uganda Premier League.
Sentongo who joined the Mukono based side in the second round of the league scored a hattrick as Kyetume humbled Kansai Plascon 4-1 in the playoff final at Lugogo on Saturday evening.
"The reason why I was signed is to ensure that I lead the club to the top flight which I have done. My next move is to ensure that I get a new club outside the country. If I fail, I will return to Kyetume if we agreed on the new deal since am no longer contracted with them," Ssentongo stated.
Benon Tahomera scored the other for the side coached by Jackson Mayanja while Henry Kitegenyi scored a consolation for Kansai Plascon.
Kyetume joined Proline and Wakiso Giants as the teams promoted to the Uganda Premier League.
Proline to beat Wakiso 1-0 to win emerge champions of the 2018/19 StarTimes FUFA Big League.
The winning goal was scored by Bright Anukani who was also voted the MVP of the competition. His teammate Ivan Bogere bagged the top scorer's accolade after finishing the season with 14 goals.
Wakiso's Ivan Mutumba claimed the golden glove while Light SS won the fair play award. All winners of the individual awards took home sh1m each.
In both ties, there was a moment of silence observed in memory of different football stakeholders who passed away in the last week.
These included late Musa Kaddu, Peter Sebulime and Jimmy Lule
