Uganda celebrates Israel's 71st Independence

By late afternoon, at about 4.00pm the pavilion at Kololo Independence grounds was full to capacity. Believers waved both flags of Israel and Uganda while singing and praying for peace to prevail in the blessed nations of Israel and Uganda. Later the crowd was addressed by Israel’s deputy Ambassador, David Eyal, and Dante Gebel, a senior pastor from River Church in California prayed for the congregation. The independence celebrations were crowned with dinner at Hotel African which was graced by the Prime Minister of Uganda Ruhakana Rugunda, members of parliament, religious leaders led by the Chairperson Christians of Israel in Africa Evangelist Drake Kanaabo and several officials from Israel.
