Tabu said the balls will be used by the foundation in producing more talent for the country from different regions of the country.

“Today, we have received 20 footballs towards our annual Brian Umony charity event. Last year, we did the Naguru give-back at the Naguru Remand Home and also donated to Naguru Echo FC. We appreciate NCS for supporting this event and we believe the balls will help us in nurturing talent,” Tabu stated.

Tabu said apart from the football, a lot of other activities will be held on the day.

Since its founding in 2018, the foundation has given back to the Naguru community which was dubbed “Naguru Give Back Drive” which was graced by a number of ex-internationals.

Last year, English football icon Robbie Fowler visited the foundation and conducted training sessions and a football clinic with the children at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.

The event was part of Fowler’s three-day visit in Uganda as scheduled and sponsored by Barclays Bank of Uganda, a member of Absa group limited.
