Just like they promised the Baby Cricket Cranes are playing to their full strength in the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup Africa Qualifier, Namibia.

What a way to start off their campaign with a convincing 70 runs win over arch-rivals Kenya Sunday at the Windhoek Affies Park.

Skipper Frank Akankwasa scored a brutal half ton of 62 from 80 balls as Uganda exacted revenge on Kenya having beaten the Baby Cricket Cranes in a decisive game during the same qualifier two years ago.

Interestingly the captain was indeed a savior especially for the fact that Uganda's openers did not make any reasonable impact with star man Zephania Arinaitwe was out for just (1 from 4 balls)

Batting at number 7 Akakankwas was almost impeccable picking up the for Uganda in a vital win for Jackson Ogwang's boys, a job he did so convincingly with 5 sixes and 2 fours.

The sallying batsman's partnership with Ashraf Senkubuge ultimately made the difference. Senkubuge was a half-ton hero as well with 56 from 89 balls.

Nonetheless, Akankwasa completed the job in the second innings with 3 wickets as Kenya were all out for 136 despite Sukhdeep Singh's 31 off 42 balls.
