Ssebuguzi wins CMC rally in Mukono

Ssebuguzi navigated by Leon Ssenyange in a Mitsubishi Evo 10, posted a total time loss of an hour,19.58 minutes to defeat MOIL team of Yassin Nasser

Ronald Ssebuguzi won the Central Motor Club (CMC) rally in Mukono after defeating Yassin Nasser and Hassan Alwi.
 
Ssebuguzi navigated by Leon Ssenyange in a Mitsubishi Evo 10, posted a total time loss of an hour,19.58 minutes to defeat MOIL team of Yassin Nasser navigated by Ali Katumba in a Subaru GVB by two minutes.
 
Hassan Alwi navigated by Siraje Kyambadde in a Subaru N14 finished third in the event that ended successfully without any incident.
 
Ssebuguzi attributed his win to composure and teamwork.

"We tried to be fast but cautious and luck was with us that we never spoiled anything," Ssebuguzi said.
 
"It is a good start and a good finish."
 
Ssebuguzi who finished fourth in Mbarara now leads the NRC table standing with 160 points, while Hassan Alwi is second with 140 points.
 
The next event is the Southern Motor Club Rally next month starting April 12 to 14 in Masaka.

Yassin Nasser who finished eighth in the Mbarara rally last month was excited to finish second and promised to improve in the next event.
 
"We are just studying the car. This is our second race and we learned more things but we hope we shall continue to do better in the next event," Nasser said.
 
Dr. Alfred Mutiti, the proprietor of Grand Praclos Hotel, the sponsors of the event and UMOSPOC Kabalega rally also promised to give Motorsport an acre of land for Go Karting in Mukono.
