Cindy, female DJs enliven crowd at the ladies affair show

For a long time, the DJ fraternity has been one of those male dominated circles. However, lately, female DJs have defied all odds and dived into the art of mixing songs and scratching decks.

The Ladies affair show was organised on Thursday night  at Nexus Lounge in Najjera to celebrate female DJs. This also happened to be the eve of Women's Day.

To curtain raise for the main celebrants of the night, Cinderella Sanyu's band hit the stage to hype up the revelers who were dominated by ladies for obvious reasons.

The band wowed the crowd with both original compositions and renditions of songs by Afrigo band, Lucky Dube among others

The band leader, Cindy, hit the stage a few hours later with her signature energetic dance moves.

The girls in the audience reacted as though an international artist had just stepped on stage. Cindy stood still on stage to let the excitement sink in for a few minutes. She later unveiled a highly entertaining performance for her die hards.

Funs were surprised and blown away when Cindy performed songs from other female artists like Winnie Nwagi and Rihanna with a soft slow voice which is unlike her.

The MC of the night who was also female announced the lineup of female DJs for the night including DJ Lolah, DJ Xyzl, DJ Mary Jo, DJ Cathy, DJ Nelly Rwaxxy and DJ Sheila Kats

The action to celebrate female DJs was kick started by DJ Mary Jo who sent the girls into dancing and bone shaking mode. DJ Xyzl and Lolah then followed to add fuel to the party which went on all night long.
