Tooro United dent Viper's title hopes

This follows Vipers 3-1 defeat to SC Villa last weekend. Despite dropping two points, Vipers remain second with 38 points, three below KCCA who have game in hand.

Vipers' title hunt suffered a setback following their 1-1 draw with Tooro United today at Buhinga stadium in Fort Portal.
 
This follows Vipers 3-1 defeat to SC Villa last weekend.  Despite dropping two points, Vipers remain second with 38 points, three below KCCA who have game in hand.
 
The result meant that Tooro United have now gone nine games without a defeat in all competitions.
 
Godfrey Lwesibawa gave the home side the lead in the 16th minute through a free kick before new signing Hamis ‘Diego' Kizza opened his account for Vipers through an equalizer.
 
Elsewhere, Pius Wangi scored a brace as SC Villa defeated bottom side Paidha Black Angels 2-1 at Mandela National stadium, Namboole, while Bright Stars settled for a goalless draw with Mbarara City at Champion stadium in Mwererwe.
 
At Luzira, Ndejje improved their chances of surviving relegation when they defeated Maroons 1-0 away at Luzira, while Onduparaka played to 0-0 draw with URA at Green Light stadium, Arua.
 
Joel Madondo's only goal in the 40th minute saw Kirinya Jinja SS beat Police 1-0 to bounce back to their winning ways.  The Jinja side had previously gone seven games without a win.
