Minister receives delegation of Chinese investors

INVESTMENT
Uganda's conducive investment environment has continued to attract investors from different corners of the world.
Last week, Minister for Public service, Muruli Mukasa received a delegation of over 100 investors from China.
These were led by the Vice Governor of Hunan Province, He BaoXiang for the inauguration ceremony of Hunan Association Uganda held at Kololo Court Hotel in Kampala.
BaoXiang said, these investors are going to work as a team to start up projects in sectors including: Agriculture, fishing, tourism, mining, energy, plastic recycling and tourism, among others.
Muruli Mukasa who was the guest of honor on this occasion said that Chinese investors have significantly contributed to the development of Uganda's economy through their projects.
Meanwhile, BaoXiang noted that these projects are scheduled to kick off at the beginning of next year in Kiruhura district and thereafter, they will spread to other parts of the country.
"We have also invited all Ugandans for the first ever China-Africa Trade Expo to be held on June 18, 2019 in Changsha in Hunan province," he announced.
Hunan Province currently supports a number of projects in Uganda including providing teachers of the Chinese language at the Confucius Institute at Makerere University.
