Express ends KCCA's 10 game unbeaten run

The Red Eagle's who had last beaten KCCA at Wankulukuku in 2010 had gone four games without a win.

Express got back to winning ways after beating KCCA FC  3-2 at Wankuluku stadium.

The Red Eagle's who had last beaten KCCA at Wankulukuku in 2010 had gone four games without a win.

The end to end game played on a muddy pitch after a downpour saw Express end KCCA's ten game unbeaten run.

Express opened the scoring through Michael Birungi's header in the 16th minute. KCCA responded at the start of second half with substitue Allan Kyambadde levelling matters for the visitors.

Striker Eric Kambale who was also named the Pilsner man of the match put Express ahead after KCCA defenders failed to clear the ball.

Left back Disan Galiwango made it 3-1 for the Red Eagles from corner kick after KCCA goalkeeper Charles Lukwago crossed the line with the ball. Allan Okello scored the other for KCCA to make  it 3-2.       

Elsewhere, Ndejje University played to 1-1 draw with SC Villa, while Mbarara City beat Tooro United 1-0 in Kakyeka stadium. In Luzira,  Nyamityobora went down 2-1 to Maroons, while BUL defeated Onduparaka 1-0 in Jinja.
