PICTURES: Scenes at Mulago as relatives came for bodies of loved ones

The Police and UPDF teams say hope of finding any survivors has diminished as time goes by.

 It was tears and sorrow as relative picked bodies of their loved ones.

First deputy Prime Minister Gen. Moses Ali flagged off the first bodies to be released at about 2:00pm. The first bodies to be released were of Isaac Kayongo and Esther.

 Many people were seen making frantic calls, perhaps informing other relatives about the tragedy

Moses Ali said after postmortem, the bodies should be released to their realtives for burial.

 The whole area was in chaos as more numbers of people kept pouring in.

Police had to be called to calm down the situation.

 Nobody seemed to know what to do next as bodies kept coming in

 Relatives mingled and moved about as they waited for the bodies

 Sadness was written on everyone's face

 Everyone sought out a friend for comfort

 Ambulance sirens were the order of the day

 Even journalists rushed to Mulago Hospital to capture the events and inform the country

 To some, the fun of the MTN marathon quickly turned into wails when they learnt that their loved ones had perished in a boat accident
