Fire guts school in Rakai, over 10 students feared dead

FIRE SCHOOL RAKAI

Fire broke out on Monday morning at St. Benards Mannya SSS in Kifamba sub-county, Rakai district where over 10 students are feared dead

The fire started from the dormitory for Senior One students before spreading to the dormitories for Senior Two and Three

The Police headed by Regional Police Commander Greater Masaka, Latif Zzaake, assisted by the residents used jerry cans to fetch water for putting down the fire as students wailed in agony.

Over 50 students have been rushed to Mannya, Kitovu and Masaka hospitals.
