According to his wife, Sarah Awuyo, Eboku did not return from the market he had gone to on Monday evening.

A Soroti town business tycoon who deals in the whole sale of general merchandise has gone missing so far for the last six days.

Joseph Eboku is alleged to have left for a market in Amuria district and he is alleged to have gone missing since Monday. According to his wife, Sarah Awuyo, Eboku did not return from the market he had gone to on Monday evening.

Awuyo says she received a message on Tuesday from Eboku, saying that he needed prayers because he was feeling unsafe. She says that was the last she had from him. She reported the case at Soroti Central Police Station with reference SD 68/26/09/2018.

Eboku is said to have been carrying a bag that had money. "Every time, we are in the church for prayers. We believe God can do something where man cannot", she said.

"If there was something being heard of him, at least we would know that he is alive somewhere. But now that there is nothing being heard of him, we are now wondering where and how he is", Amonyi added.

According to the officer investigating the case, Anthony Oluka, the Police has got Eboku's communication print out and they were tracing for what their discussions were all about at that time.

The Public Relations officer of North East Kyoga, Michael Odongo, says investigations were going on and since a kidnap case is sensitive, they did not want to reveal the clues they have got.
