Uganda's exploits in the Africa T20 Cup, South Africa present a genuine test as the Cricket Cranes prepare for the upcoming ICC World Cricket League Division Three November in Oman.

Although they did not make it past the preliminary round of the contest, they nonetheless harbour positive thoughts having played against some of the best upcoming cricketer on the continent.

Roger Mukasa and Co have among others faced South Africa's first class cricketer Dane Paterson and legendary south African Makhaya Ntini's son Thando Ntini.

Makhaya was the first ethnically black player to play for the South African team.

In their comprehensive and major 6 wickets win over Western Province Sunday at the Pietermaritzburg oval, the travelling side quite impressed. It is important to note that Uganda is making their first appearance at the showpiece.

Hamu Kayondo(27) Dinesh Kumar (46) Riazat Shah (36) stepped up when Uganda successfully chased Western Province's 152.The showpiece still serves as a preseason campaign for South Africa' local league.

Uganda will now turn their charges on Kwazul Natal Inland and the South African Academy in a number of 50-overs build up matches.
