The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) executive director Jennifer Musisi and the the Commissioner General of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Doris Akol, have scooped the continental women leadership award held in Nigeria.
The two were recognized on September 1 at the Women Development Centre, Abuja Nigeria for their selfless services and projecting good leadership on the continent and beyond.
The news of the award scooped was first broken by the KCCA via the tweeter handle @KCCAUG, saying: “ News coming from Abuja, Nigeria is that is that our executive director @KCCAED scooped the African Virtuous Women Award under “The African Agent of Change Category.”
Commenting about the award, Musisi tweeted: “So humbled to receive the 2018 African Award under the “Agent of Change” category. I receive this award on behalf of the team that is working tirelessly to make sure that Kampala is where it is today.”
URA via its tweeter congratulated the duo for representing Uganda on continental level.
“As we jubilate @URA-CG for scooping the African Women in Leadership Award, in the same spirit, we congratulate @KCCAED for bringing home the African Virtous Award under “The African Agent of Change Category”, Kudos to these two ladies,” read a tweet from URA.
