KAMPALA - The journey to be crowned miss Uganda 2018-2019 was not an easy one. Contestants had to go through a series of competitions to get the finalists.

The Business Computing student who hails from Mayuge district will now represent Uganda in the Miss World beauty pageant that will take place in China this December.

The event was held at Sheraton hotel Kampala.

On top of winning a Toyota Wish car (UBD series), Abenakyo, together with the top two runners-up, Patience Martha Ahebwa  and Trya Margach will go to the Netherlands, have a treat at Pineapple Bay in Bulago Islands and a one-year gym session at Sheraton Hotel Kampala.

The trio have also won themselves scholarships at the Uganda Aviation school that will include, among others, cabin crew training, customer care for airlines, aviation security and of course ticketing.

Sandra Khan and Nanziri Elizabeth were the other two of the top five finalists at the Miss Uganda 2018-2019 beauty contest.
