Coach Ssimbwa takes charge at URA

Ssimbwa will work alongside Robert Mukasa and Augustine Nsumba as his assistants. Steven Kigundu who previously worked at Vipers will be the goalkeeping coach.

NAKAWA - Coach Sam Ssimbwa on Wednesday joined URA on a three year permanent deal after successfully serving as care taker for two months.
 
"I have decided to take up the job since I believe I have the opportunity to see that URA gets back to the top.
 
"Last season we just participated in the league but come the new season we shall be able to compete for trophies,"stated Ssimbwa after being unveiled yesterday at URA headquarters in Nakawa.
 
Ssimbwa will work alongside Robert Mukasa and Augustine Nsumba as his assistants.

Steven Kigundu who previously worked at Vipers will be the goalkeeping coach.
 
Ssimbwa joined the  tax collectors  after  Nkata's resignation  on April 24 following the 7-2 humiliation by KCCA  in the Uganda Premier League.
 
Prior to this role, Ssimbwa has been a coach with Soana , Express, SC Villa, Mbale Heroes ,Police (Rwanda), SC Victoria University,KCCA FC .
 
Ssimbwa who won league with Express (2011-2012) and two Uganda Cup trophies with Mbale Heores (1999) and Express (2007) was previously with Kenya's Sofapaka before he joined tax collectors.
