Muwonge eyes NRC title

Muwonge won the 2011 NRC and this year she is fourth on the standings with 174 points.

FORT PORTAL - Finishing third in the UMC Rally in Fortportal has given female rally driver Suzan ‘Super Lady' Muwonge confidence that she can win the national rally championship (NRC) again.
 
Muwonge won the 2011 NRC and this year she is fourth on the standings with 174 points, 26 behind table leader Jas Mangat.
 
"We came back this year but we are trying our best as we target the NRC this year.However, if the worst comes to the worst we look at the top three finish," Muwonge said.
 
Muwonge returned this year from a two year sabbatical, she had taken after her maternity leave and academic commitments.
 
The Super Lady navigated by Edmond Kyeyune finished third in the UMC rally in Fortportal to maintain a fourth position on the NRC standings behind  Jas Mangat (200pts),Unisan Bakunda(194pts) and Kepher Walubi (180 pts.).
 
"The competition is high but we are among the top five drivers targeting  NRC and we are not giving up till the last event, "Muwonge stressed.
 
She finished third in the Mbarara rally; Eleventh in Masaka, sixth in Jinja rally and third in the UMC rally in Fortportal over the weekend.
