QUTE KAYE- Mike Mukula has come to the rescue of the troubled singer Qute Kaye who was yesterday arrested after being ‘caught' stealing head lamps from a car in Busega, Kampala.

Kaye alias Brian Kaye broke to prominence in 2006 following his hit song Ginkese. At one time in 2013 he was announced dead following a long illness.

Following his fall from stardom, Kaye is said to have turned to drugs which have negatively affected his life.

On learning about Kaye's arrest Mukula, the National Vice Chairman NRM Eastern and the patron of Uganda Musicians Association wrote on his twitter account indicating how he is securing his release and possible rehabilitation.

"This young man with talent got desperate unemployed and with no source of income in the city >> Cute Kaye >> As a patron of Uganda musicians association I have instructed the chairman and others to secure his release # we will rehabilitate him," Mukula wrote on his twitter @Mukula.

The Ginkese singer Kaye is said to have gotten saved when he was at Pastor Robert Kayanja's 77 Days of Glory. He had previously also converted to Islam as he looked to live a meaningful life.

Several sympathizers have come to stand with Kaye, despite his act.
