Man to be charged for theft and murder

SOROTI - Police in Soroti central has arrested a man believed to have taken part in the recent theft scandal in Amen B village, Soroti district.
 
 Thirty-year-old Michael Ekweju, a resident of Asuret sub-county in Soroti district is alleged to have stolen a cow together with other unidentified people and claimed the life of Isaac Adengu.
 
According to Michael Odongo, the police spokesperson east Kyoga, they got Ekweju's phone in the pocket of Adengu 28, a resident of Okunguro parish Asuret sub-county, on Thursday night.
 
Odongo said that Ekweju will be charged with theft and murder.
 
Meanwhile Richard Elibu and peter Okello some of the residents that spoke to new vision said police should work hard to get rid off such evil people in the community.
