AZAM UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

JINJA - FUFA disciplinary committee panel awarded three points and 3 goals to Jinja based football team BUL FC after successfully winning their petition against UPDF FC for fielding an ineligible player.

The player in question is Sulaiman Majannjalo, who played during BUL's league encounter against army side Bombo on April 24.

BUL FC lost the encounter 1-0 but, its officials discovered that the said player was ineligible .

"By fielding a player who has not fully missed the next two physically played matches by UPDF as per article 29.11 of the FUFA competition rules 2017/18. UPDF loses the match by forfeiture to BUL as per article 19.11 of FUFA competition rules 2017/18," stated the official ruling letter from the committee.

BUL FC communication manager Joseph Mutaka revealed that the club was excited with the positive outcome from the club's petition .

"Now that we have got enough points that have mathematically put us in a safe zone , our players will play with less pressure in their last three league matches ,''said head coach Kefa Kisala.

BUL's next game will be against Bright Stars FC on 11 May 2018 at Kakindu.
