KAMPALA - The Director Public Prosecutions has asked Buganda Road Court to fix a hearing date for the case in which five people are charged over the death of Toumas Juha Petteri Terasvouri, a Finnish national, at Pearl of Africa Hotel in Nakasero.

This was after prosecution's Viola Tusingiwire reported that Police inquiries into the death of the investor were complete and witnesses were ready to testify.

The accused include Apollo Kyabagye, a senior intelligence officer at the Internal Security Organisation (ISO), Fatuma Kabagambe, Caroline Alinda , a special hire driver Nasif Walusimbi and  the deceased's girlfriend, Faridah Naggayi .

These were arrested on March 22, 2018 and charged with manslaughter , forgery , trafficking in drugs and conspiracy to commit a felony .

Prosecution alleges that on February 6, 2018 at Pearl of Africa Hotel in Nakasero , the five connived to kill Terasvouri  by administering narcotics on him, which they sneaked into his hotel room .

Terasvouri was found lying dead in his hotel room on February 5.  A  postmortem report revealed that he had died of drugs overdose.
