State minister for internal affairs Obiga Kania says investigations are going on.

Lwemiyaga County MP raised the issue in Parliament saying the Government should explain the whereabouts of New Vision journalist Charles Etukuri.

Etkuri was abducted by armed people on Tuesday afternoon near New Vision Offices in Industrial Area, Kampala.

He has since not been seen and no security agency has come out to explain where he is.

However, in a call to his supervisor the next day, Etukuri said he was safe althorugh he could not tell where he was.

Etukuri's abduction is believed to be related to a story he wrote about the death of a Finnish national. The story, which appeared in Saturday Vision linked some officers of ISO in the death.
