At exactly 8:30pm, the hosts of the night, Roger Mugisha and Malaika Nnyanzi, kicked off the show by welcoming the guest of honour, tourism minister Ephraim Kamuntu, who represented the president.
In his remarks, the minister applauded the coming of Black Creations Collections and pledged full support.
Models showcased gowns made out of African fabric, including the Gomesi and Kanzu.
Soul guitarist Kenneth Mugabi was there to entertain guests.
