Onyango optimistic ahead of Oktoberfest 7s

After Thursday's training session with Fiji team, Rugby Cranes 7s team coach Tolbert Onyango is optimistic his side is physically and mentally fit to take on any opposition in the Oktoberfest 7s tournament on Saturday and Sunday in Germany.

"We had no trial games to speak of but a run with Fiji this evening just did something different and the team is good to go," Onyango stated.

"We came for competition so there is not much teams are giving away but the morale in the camp is high and the boys are focused on bringing down the giants of this sport," Onyango added.

He was however not decided on who to start and who will come from the bench in the opening game against England.

The team also faces Argentina and hosts Germany in Pool B of the two-day tournament and Onyango will chose his starting squad from the  12 traveling players who include, James Ijongat, James Odongo, Brian Kikawa, Eric Kasiita (cpt), Philip Wokorach (vice cpt), Desire Ayera, Ramadhan Govule, Fred Odur, Pius Ogena, Adrian Kasito, Micheal Wokorach and Timothy Kisiga.
