Youth from Wakiso district gathered at Holyfam Hotel in Nansana on Saturday to support the constitutional amendment on age limit.

Led by Wakiso district NRM youth chairperson, Henry Kayemba, they youth said the age cap should be lifted to enable President Yoweri Museveni to stand in 2021.

"We are happy because of the development programmes which were introduced by the NRM government. Museveni should be left to complete what he started," said Kayemba.

Most of the youth said they cannot afford to let the President go, saying they do not know how the next leader will treat them.

"We have grown up under his regime and we are not sure if the next president will have the same passion for the youth like Museveni," they added.

They youth urged the Members of Parliament from Wakiso district to support Bagikwateko campaign, saying anyone who will not, risks not being supported in the next elections.
