Rally driver Yusuf Bukenya has promised a return in the MOSAC rally next month in Mpigi and Wakiso districts with a more powerful Mitsubishi Evo X.

Bukenya made the promise in an interview following an incident where his car caught fire in Hoima during the UMOSPOC Kabalega rally last month.

Bukenya'a Mitsubishi Evo 9 caught fire during the Super Special Stage of the Kabalega rally at Kontik hote. The son of former rally driver, Wycliff Bukenya, popularly known as "Roll master" is not calling it quits.

"I want to achieve what my father did not achieve. I will be back in more powerful car Mitsubishi Evo 10," Bukenya stated in a phone interview on Tuesday evening.

The Evo 10 is a powerful rally car that Ugandan rally fans commonly refer to as Ekisodde (beast) because of its front shape.

"I'm actually in Dubai. Yesterday, I tested the car and is in good condition to give me the opportunity to compete with the top drivers in Uganda," added the skilful driver popularly known as "dusty."
