After a rather shocking 69-65 to the Ndejje Angels two weeks ago, Betway Power was not about to lose another game to Our Savior over the weekend at YMCA.

Coach Arnold Lando's side fought all odds to end a game that was likely to end in favour of their evening opponents with a 70-65win over Our Savior.

Power side might have underestimated their opponents.

Lando's side was off to a slow start when they trailed by a point by the end of the first quarter (16-17).  However, by half time they had managed to boost their momentum with a 10-6 lead to control the game to the third quarter before their competitors took lead in fourth quarter.

They controlled the game in the fourth quarter (14-19) to end the close fitting contest in overtime.

It is during the over time that Lando's forces realised the need to up their game, lest they register a fifth loss in the league and this time to a supposedly much weaker side.

They responded with the most emphatic performance during overtime, blowing out Our Savior on Sunday evening to a close win.

Micheal Makiadi led his team to a sweet victory scoring a maximum of 23 points and 12 rebounds while Peter Odong and Issac Afidra added 13 and 8 respectively.

Meanwhile Our Savior's Denis Opolot nailed a game high 19 points and six rebounds while Samuel Mwesigwa added nine but it was not enough to suppress the league title contenders (Power).

The UCU Canons also saw off their Ndejje opponents when they thumbed them 64-56, while KIU Titans thumbed UPDF 94-46.
