Managerless Express unveils 22 new signings

Former SC Villa player Steven Bengo is one of the players that Express unveiled Monday in Mutundwe.

A skilful midfielder during his glory days, Bengo was one of the players primed to scale the heights during his career but a spate of injuries put paid to that.

Express which lost a big pool of players last season unveiled more than 20 new signings.

Embattled club chairperson Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi who also attended the function was however optimistic that new players will revive Express' lost glory.

She also added that they will soon name coaching staff for the new season after Matia Lule and his assistant Joseph Kiwanuka resigned from the team due to unpaid arrears.

Express finished sixth last season and will face Kirinya Jinja SS in their league opener on Wednesday at Wankulukuku Stadium.

Express signings: Geoffrey Agonya, Goodwin Bbuule, Isaac Katende, Promise Mkpene, Deogratius Othieno, Bernard Agele, Oman Hitimana, Abdul Karim Kasule, Abubaker Mohammed Kasule, Mubarak Nsubuga, Peter Mutebi, James Easther Ago, John Kisakye Wesley, Steven Bengo, Andrew Ssekayombya, Dan Mzee Sserunkuma, Badru Nsubuga, Michael Birungi Komuhanda, Solomon Galiwango, Tony Kyamera, Jose Maria Lubega and Ronnie Kisekka.
