Elderly demand representation in Parliament

Emuron said having a representative in Parliament would help provide technical guidance on their issues.

The Government has been asked to consider the representation of elderly persons in Parliament.

John Francis Emuron, a councillor representing elders at Magoro sub-county, said since special interest groups such as the youth, Army, disabled and workers are represented in Parliament, the elderly should also be represented.

Emuron said having a representative in Parliament would help  provide technical guidance on their issues, and that the elderly can advice young MPs in the House.
