Two arrested over fatal shooting in Kyankwanzi

Two men have been arrested over the murder of Gatete Miniriho, 25, who was shot dead in his garden. 

Addressing the media at Police headquarters in Naguru on Monday, Police spokesperson Asan Kasingye identified the two suspects as Robert Nabizi and Eric Mutezimana. 

Nabizi and Mutezimana are residents of Kitabona Sub County in Kyankwanzi district and are being held at Ntwetwe Police Station in Kyankwanzi. 

Preliminarily Police investigations indicate Minihiro was in his garden working when he was fatally attacked by unknown assailants in Kakuta village, Muwangi parish in Kitabona Sub County. 

He was rushed to Ntwetwe Health Centre before he was referred to Kiboga Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

"We caution the public to desist from getting involved in incidents of affray because they can easily result into bodily harm and sometimes murder" said Kasingye.
