Unbeaten and chasing a seventh straight win in round one of the  National Basketball League (NBL) season, the Pemba warriors face the four time defending champions tonight at the MTN Arena Lugogo.

“Apart from the UCU Canons, City Oilers’ is another team we have seriously been preparing for this season. A win in today’s game is all we shall be looking forward to when we step on the court, “said Warrior’s head coach Ronal Mutebi.

However, it remains to be seen how far the physical Warriors can push their luck in what is anticipated to be a mental vs. physical strength contest.

Unlike the Oilers, Mutebi’s side is the only team without a single loss in the NBL league.

Known for their physical strength, Warriors have managed to cruise through the first round of the season beating Betway Power, UCU Canons, Our Savior, UPDF Tomahawks, Ndejje Angels and Star times Falcons to top the league.

And with only three games to go, the Pemba Warriors will be looking to end the first round unbeaten.
