CKI put their terrible outing against newly promoted Roniz pool club behind them to win against defending champions Scrap Buyers and Oceans pool club during the weekend.

The nature of the win against their title rivals was very impressive because the players executed well and the top players delivered top drawer results.

The loss has also helped cast more doubt on whether the Scrap Boys can defend their title this season.

CKI were so impressive that they made sure to lead from the front and didn't let their opponents into the lead at any point in the match.

Scrap Buyers' Captain Waswa Kayiya was a constant threat to CKI but even he couldn't do anything about their organisation and depth in quality especially Sula Matovu and Lukomwa Hazard.

CKI captain Robert Lubega was also impressed by his side's performance and believes it was down to their focus and reasserting their priorities.

"We did well over the weekend because we are focused and reminded ourselves to keep in mind our goal to win the league. We also want to go unbeaten hence forth if we want to win the league," he said.

The captain also confirmed that they are trying all technics to bring out the best in the team.

"At the moment we are trying all things we can to win our matches, we are switching up many things, like our order and we are improving day by day," he added.

He believes the team are a work in progress so there issues won't go away immediately.
